Water Supply Status

NJDEP is lifting the water supply Drought Watch that has been in effect since August 9, 2022. Rainfall patterns are returning to normal levels and water supply conditions have been improving across New Jersey.

First Day Hikes

First Day Hikes in New Jersey's State Parks & Forests is on Sunday, January 1, 2023. The New Jersey State Park Service will be hosting hikes in state parks, forests, and historic sites on New Year's Day as part of the America's State Parks First Day Hikes program. A record number of at least 40 hikes will be offered throughout the state, ranging in difficulty levels from beginner to advance. These free First Day Hikes offer a great incentive to get outside, exercise, experience history, enjoy nature, and celebrate the new year with friends and family in one of our state parks.
