Administration

Dear Residents:

Welcome Spring 2022! I hope this finds you and your families well. Hopefully we have weathered the storm of the Pandemic and are looking ahead with optimism and strength for a healthy and happy year full of new beginnings. Although it has been two long years since our community has been able to come together, a lot has been going on at the Township in anticipation of this time and I am excited to share with you all of the recent developments.

What is new in 2022? As you know from my previous letter, the Township has a new garbage and recycling contract with Blue Diamond. The new contract ensures that all of the services continue at the same frequency. Beginning April 6, 2022, recycling will need to be separated and collected on alternating weeks. Please see the included recycling calendar for the weekly collection schedule. Speaking of the Township website, we are very excited to be engaged in the development of a new and improved website with enhanced features at your fingertips. The redesigned website should be functioning by July 2022.

The 2022 Budget enables the Township to continue to provide the highest level of service through the municipal office, support to Hampton Twp. Fire and Rescue, continuing our Road and Equipment Capital Budget, which will include the paving of Church Road, additional upkeep to other roads and enhancements to the Municipal Complex. All of which are able to be accomplished through sound fiscal planning and consideration by our dedicated Township Committee members who are steadfast in their commitment to the residents and aware of the challenges to be able to provide the highest quality of life without additional financial burden.

We have several new faces in at the Township that I would like to introduce. Many of you are aware that Mary Whitesell retired after 25 years of dedicated service. Katelynn Wunder is the new smiling face that will greet you in the Construction and Planning Office and has been doing an excellent job in continuing the top level of service. Thank you Katelynn! Another new addition to our office is Diana Juarez, the Deputy Clerk, Board of Health and Recreation Secretary. Diana has been a great fit in our municipal family and we welcome her smiling face and fresh perspective. Welcome Diana! We also had two new members join our Rd Dept. Kevin Lantz and Zach Lospinuso are hardworking individuals who are excellent additions to our dedicated DPW that works diligently to ensure that Township roads are in top shape and our Municipal Park and grounds are well maintained. Thank you gentlemen of the DPW!

Our Township Committee and employees and volunteers strive to keep Hampton Township a very special place. We thank you all for supporting those efforts through your good will and participation in the many programs that we offer. The last two years have been very challenging for everyone, and we are looking forward with hope and optimism for a brighter tomorrow. As always, if you have any questions, or are in need of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me or the office, we are all here to help!

Sincerely,
Jessica Caruso
